It's getting dark earlier again and I'm back in London after nearly a month in the States. Because of a connecting flight cancellation, on my second day I had to take an eight hour training journey from Boston all the way to DC. On the way, I went through eight states. Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Maryland.
🤓 What I've been doing
I went to a wedding in Connecticut, despite having known the couple for less than a year. This was my first time at an American wedding and the nuances to British weddings were interesting, mainly how much later in the day it started. I had an excellent time
In Texas, I leant to line-dance. Sort of. In Dallas, there's a dancing hall called Red River and every day they have line-dancing lessons. So I donned a cowboy hat, went with some friends and strutted along the hall out of rhythm. When I got back to London, I showed my girlfriend a few moves.
I'd never heard of Creed until the day I bought a concert ticket for them. And after a few hour drive to Boston from New York, followed by a party bus to a random concert in buttfuck nowhere Massachusetts, I was listening to them. They were pretty good. The venue itself was a vibe, there I had my first ever corn dog. Upon taking my first bite, all I could think was 'god bless America'
🔮 What's coming up
In March I organised a pub crawl and later this month I'm doing on in Hackney
